Coca Cola Matchbox Car Collectibles

Coca Cola items continue to be among the most desired and collectible by fans of vintage brands like the soda company.

That extends to the diecast car area, and specifically to the Matchbox branded Coca Cola cars and vehicles they've introduced through the years. Many of them are awesome.

In its 'Models of Yesteryear' series, Matchbox released this great replica of 1912 Ford Model T, with "Enjoy Coca Cola" on the side. Although the packaging is bland, the car itself is awesome.

Matchbox released this Coca Cola 1958 Porsche 356a coupe. Now is that a great looking car or what?

Another Coca Cola Matchbox release includes these two great vehicles from the 1950s. They are, on top, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible, and on bottom, the FJ Holden Panel Van.

I love the Coca Cola Matchbox Dodge Coronet Convertible below. That engine looks great, as does the tropical look we all imagine when thinking of going on a vacation.

These two Matchbox Coca Cola collectible cars below were really cool in the day, and it's hard to believe how popular the Chevrolet El Camino was at the time. I remember seeing them all over the place in the 1970s.

As for the 1970 Ford Boss Mustand, what's not to like about this popular car?

Speaking of the 1960s and 1970s, here are a couple of cars that rocked the world back then: the Volkswagon Beetle. How many times did we take trips where we yelled out "slug bug" and gave one of our siblings a hit, or were on the receiving end of one?

Fascinatingly, the Volkswagon Beetle style, in general, has recently made a comeback.

What a great selection of Coca Cola, Matchbox diecast cars to enjoy and appreciate. This is what collecting is all about: quality designs reminding of us of the wonderful days of our youth.

Vintage, Collectible Coca Cola Ad Posters

Ad posters from Coca Cola over the last 70 years or so were fantastic, and there's little doubt when you glance at one that it was made by Coca Cola, as it has that unique look we've all come to recognize.

They are a piece of history for sure, and reminds us of much simpler, innocent and desirable times.
Another important part of the Coca Cola advertising is you always recognize it's Americana; it wasn't something overtly done, but done out of who we were as a people. You still feel the sense of who we were and are as Americans, or if you're not an American, who we were, but to a lesser extent today, who we are.

That America has gone, at least for many people, although there is a significant number who cling to what we were and represented at the time.

As far as the art work, it worked well with the characters and props associated with it, while Coco Cola was viewed and included as one of the joys of life that accompanied who we were.

Coca Cola Collectibles | Large Cooler

Coca Cola Collectibles

When I looked at this Coca Cola cooler on wheels, it reminded me of one I had years ago, which was given to me by a school. I didn't have it home for more than a day when someone came by and made me a big offer on it.

That made me realize that Coca Cola coolers were highly collectible and hard to get.

While mine wasn't this exact model, it was a great cooler I used for it's original purpose.

Thinking back on this, it is strange, as I can't remember what I did with my Coca Cola cooler.

Coca Cola Collectibles | Portable Cooler

Coca Cola Collectibles

Coca Cola collectibles will probaby be one of the more compelling there are, and I learned that first hand about 15 years ago when I got a large, old Coca Cola cooler on wheels (the type that looks like a six foot wide deep freezer).

Not a few hours after I got it home and someone saw it, I was offered a very nice sum for the cooler, which I ended up turning down.

While this cooler here isn't at that quality and level, it's still something most fans of vintage Coca Cola collectibles desire.

If you ever come across one for a good price, do a little research before selling it if you're not a Coca Cola collector, or take bids on it, as you can attract top dollar for the Coca Cola Cooler.
